Katie King is a passionate and versatile actor, singer and dancer. Growing up in a small beach town in New Jersey, Katie danced competitively and performed in as many plays and musicals as she could get her hands on.
In 2024, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Hofstra University where she found herself not only playing but falling in love with a variety of characters, such as Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), Mistress Ford (The Merry Wives of Windsor) and #8 (The Wolves). She also took advantage of every opportunity to dance, performing contemporary and jazz pieces with Danceworks Productions in their semesterly showcases and taking on the role of Dance Captain in both State Fair and 35MM: A Musical Exhibition. Katie’s training at Hofstra includes classical voice as well as contemporary musical theater, Shakespeare, Linklater, Meisner, dialects, masque, red nose and stage combat.
Since graduation, Katie has been lucky enough not only to reprise her role as Juliet for Picturesque Shakespeare, but to venture into the world of film with Brooklyn College and Steadfast Productions as well. When she’s not in rehearsal, you can find her taking dance classes, curling up on the fire escape with a good book, or practicing latte art!
Katie dedicates her career to her grandfather, Charles King, who signed her up for theater camp when she was eight years old and planted that creative seed that won’t stop growing. He will forever live on in all of her artistic pursuits.
